Bush commuted the prison time of Cheney’s chief of staff Scooter. Dick Cheney shoots a man in the face after a few beers and no ticket is issued. Attorney General fires and hires people based on party affiliation. Monica Goodling (a 33 year DOJ staffer), hires people based on which tier 4-law school they go to based on religion.
What do these seemingly small things mean?
It’s legal to lie to a grand jury. It’s now legal to drink beer and shoot people. It’s now legal to hire and fire people for their belief or non-belief in religion or ideology.
President Bush has demonstrated that the rule of law doesn’t apply. I call this the OJ defense. If you have money, power or political connections the rule of law doesn’t apply as it would with the average guy who has none of these things.
Bush and Cheney will be revealed as the most corrupt administration in U.S. history!
They’ve bankrupted the future…every tax paying citizen now owes approximately 516,000$ in private and government debt. They’ve broken the military. Perverted the Bill of Rights for political gain. Suspended habeas corpus. Bastardized the constitution. Politicized the DOJ. Ignored the Geneva Convention. Spied on U.S citizens. Turned the 1st amendment upside down when they cleared a gay prostitute (Jeff Gannon) to actually represent the press at the morning Whitehouse press gaggle. Their legacy is the ruin of the American people and our standing in the worldview. We used to be respected; now we are vilified.
The other legacy they leave is Supreme Court justices. Abysmal. Roberts and Allito are strict constructionists. They don’t believe the constitution is a living document. If it weren’t a living document, it would not have been amendable, the black man would still be worth 3/5ths of a person
